Cooking With An Italian Grandma<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog!
My name is Nino and this is a blog about Italian cooking and meals. The kind of meals I enjoyed while growing up in an italian family and still enjoy today. And I will share lots of these recipes with you! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the star of this show is Grandma Antonia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For more than half a century, my mother Antonia has been making home cooked Italian meals for her family. Growing up in our household it was common to hear “oohs and aahs” during mealtime. Especially when we had guests at our table. And holidays in our home were always a culinary delight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This blog is about italian homestyle cooking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In this blog you will find discussions and recipes for italian dishes that reflect the ethnic mediterranean cuisine of southern Italy. My parents are from the Abruzzo and Puglia regions of Italy. The cuisine from those regions, and her experience raising a family in America, all combined to influence Antonia’s cooking over the years. Her recipes have an emphasis on quick and nutritious meals that also happen to be incredibly delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You probably wonder why this blog is called Cooking With An Italian Grandma when it’s about my mother’s cooking. The simple answer is my mother identifies strongly with being a grandma to her wonderful grandchildren. Being a grandma is just a part of her identity. And the name of this blog is just one small way my family honors our Nonna Antonia<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to italian cooking and recipes we will also discuss, as needed, cooking techniques, cooking tools, and cooking equipment. Maybe we’ll also throw in some stories connected to some of the dishes we feature in this blog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
